To paraphrase a well known saying!

Do you ever feel like you’re suffocating under the weight of expectations, responsibilities, and stories? You’re not alone.

Imagine your life as a clear glass jar. Inside that jar are stones of all shapes and sizes, representing all the parts of you. Your emotions, your experiences, your beliefs, your stories, even stories that belong to other people. The stories you tell yourself and the ones you have adopted because people relate them to you. Stories from throughout your life, the good ones that make you smile and the others that make you cringe. They all get packed away, endlessly being squashed down into the jar.

But the lid won’t fit on the jar. It feels uncomfortable, incomplete, with an empty feeling, even though there doesn’t appear to be any more space. There isn’t room for anything else to be added without squashing down more of who you are and creating less space for your true self to shine through.

I was in the same place, from the outside it looked like I had it all sorted out, the perfect life. Yet I had this “itchy, scratchy” feeling that there was something more for me. I had no way of finding more time for anything, let alone for sorting out this strange feeling of incompleteness. And still I knew I had to make a change so I started to unpack the stones and the stories, started sorting through the ones that were true and those that were projections from others that I had taken on. I questioned my beliefs and what I had adopted as truths about myself, until I felt more at ease and at peace.

This is how I work with my clients now.

I help women feel they have the space to breathe! To let their shoulders drop. As they find themselves smiling for no reason at all, a genuine smile.

We carefully take the stones out one by one. Examining them, feeling them, understanding them.  As we unpack the stones in your life’s jar, a remarkable transformation occurs. It’s not just about creating physical space or managing time better – it’s about rediscovering who you are. Remembering your dreams and what makes you get out of bed in the mornings. This process is made easier as we examine the stones that I intuitively know need to be worked on.

You begin to realise that some stones are no longer part of you and you can leave them along the pathway.

Some go back into the jar.

Surprisingly it’s not always the rough and misshapen stones that need attention.

Over time you have given some of the stones lots of attention and they have worn smooth and become easier.

Some stones you have may undergo a shift in perspective and this changes how they are placed in the jar.

The journey to creating space within yourself is profound and deeply personal. It’s about more than just feeling better – it’s about becoming more authentically you. As you let go of what no longer serves you and reframe your experiences, you’ll find that the ‘room to breathe’ we create together becomes a launching pad for growth, joy, and fulfilment.

At the end there is always space, the lid fits easily! I call this space “room to breathe”.

You deserve this space. You deserve to feel whole, complete, and at peace within yourself. The first step is simply deciding that you’re ready for change.

Are you ready to unpack your jar and rediscover the vibrant, spacious you that’s been waiting to emerge? Let’s embark on this transformative journey together. Your room to breathe awaits.
