I’ve always been one to search for signs—those big, unmistakable moments that scream, “You’re on the right path!” In the process, I’ve often found myself waiting for the Universe to deliver a grand, dramatic confirmation, a moment so powerful that it could leave no doubt in my mind. But here’s the thing: while I’ve been holding out for those big “WOW” moments, I’ve realized I’m missing something even more important—the little feathers gently laid in front of me, the breadcrumbs scattered along my path.

It’s easy to find ourselves longing for those big, undeniable signs — that scream, “You’re on the right path!” If you are like me, you may hear others on a course with you, or in a webinar, relating seemingly endless times when they have had a BIG moment.

We don’t always need the earth shattering experience. Yes there are those unmistakable “aha” moments that leave us in awe. What if I told you that wisdom lies in the subtle whispers of everyday life? It can be subtle. In fact more often than not it is!

We’re conditioned to expect those big “WOW” moments that confirm we’re on the right path. Yet, in this anticipation of the extraordinary, we risk overlooking the ordinary. It’s time to shift our focus from waiting for the whole loaf of bread to hit us on the side of the head, to appreciating the trail of breadcrumbs gently laid before us.

Think about it: The Universe, God, Source—whatever you choose to call that higher power—communicates with us constantly. But the language is often soft, nuanced, and easily missed if we’re not paying attention. It’s in the feather that floats across your path, the recurring number you keep seeing, or the song that plays at just the right moment. These are the breadcrumbs of divine guidance.

Why breadcrumbs, you ask? Because they’re manageable, digestible pieces of insight. If we were suddenly handed the whole loaf—all the answers, all at once—it would likely overwhelm us. Our fears and doubts would kick into overdrive, potentially paralysing us from taking action. The breadcrumb approach allows us to grow, adapt, and build confidence.

So, how can we become more attuned to these subtle signs?

  1. Practice mindfulness: Be present in each moment.
  2. Cultivate gratitude: Appreciate the small things.
  3. Trust your intuition: Often, your gut feeling is a breadcrumb in disguise.
  4. Keep an open mind: Signs can come in unexpected forms.
  5. Reflect regularly: Take time to ponder the events of your day.

Embracing these breadcrumbs is a crucial part of our self-discovery journey. It’s about developing a deeper spiritual awareness and learning to trust your intuition. This practice of mindful living can lead to profound personal transformation

Remember, life’s magic doesn’t always announce itself with fanfare. Sometimes, it’s in the quiet moments, the small synchronicities, and the gentle nudges that guide us forward. By learning to recognize and appreciate these breadcrumbs, we open ourselves to a richer, more divinely guided journey.

So, are you ready to start noticing the breadcrumbs in your life?
